Before I started teaching I don’t think I used tape diagrams very much in school, but let me tell you - they are great! Tape diagrams are another representation used to help students understand the material and make sense of things. Time for tape diagrams! I am a big fan of tape diagrams. My advice is the same I tell my students all the time - embrace the struggle and whatever you do - don’t give up. However, I put in the work, did my research and now I have a fully functioning blog page. I have always said “technology and I don’t get along very well”. Sometimes learning new things can be challenging and uncomfortable. I know that I do not know everything and that is absolutely okay, because I know I am going to continue my journey of learning. ![]() Being an educator doesn’t just mean we have to educate our students, it also means we have to continue to put in the time to educate ourselves in order to be the best teacher we possibly can for our students. We can learn all of the educational strategies and techniques, but in a couple of months or however long, I can assure you there will be new and improved strategies with new data. That is one of the big reasons I decided I wanted to get my Master’s degree. It’s so important to continue the journey of learning. ![]() This post is especially for all the teachers out there. ![]()
